New Ed (tall Ed) and I showed up at 10:59 for an 11:00 game. The night before we both were out until 3:00 AM drinking and trying to get laid. As we jogged to the pitch Goode showed up and said our game was postponed until 2:00. And then we had a 4:00.
I went back to the minivan and slept until then - I needed that rest.
Lots of us were there for the game - our first was against ???. Goode and Dallas smacked heads - both got cuts - but Goode's required 10 stiches and he had a wonderful shiner.
Second game was tough too. I don't remember shit.
That night we went to their party (boring - until after we left - coincidence?). We camped out on their practice field. The RV team in full force. I went to bed early - exhausted. I woke up and everyone was gone.
Sunday's 10:00 game was forfeited. We win again!
So we played Carlisle (the home team) for the Bowl Championship (hey even Notre Dame goes to bowl games). It was a tough game - I played my best of the spring (not saying much).
